Industry / Course producers

The course platform for companies that make a living selling courses.
Course system.Sign-up system.Course portal.Participant management.

AlonLearn is the course system and sign-up system course producers use to sell courses at volume — a catalogue that converts, frictionless checkout with employer invoicing, segmented email marketing and participant administration across hundreds of courses. Quality Norway and KGK Academy run their entire course operation on AlonLearn.

CHALLENGES

What life looks like when courses are the business

Course producers have their own logic. The catalogue is the shop window, the participant is the customer, the employer is often the one who actually pays, and the volume is too high for anything to be done manually. Four problems recur before AlonLearn is in place.

storefront

The course catalogue is the shop — and must convert

When selling courses is the main revenue, the course catalogue is the shop window. It must be searchable, filterable by subject areas, show price, dates and seats available in real time — without sending the participant on a chain of pages to understand the offer.

receipt_long

The employer is often the one who pays

In the professional market, the participant is an employee and the employer pays. That requires a checkout where the participant can specify a different payer, EHF goes straight to the employer's accounting, and refunds and credit notes are handled without manual email chains.

inventory_2

Many courses, many sign-ups, many formats

Physical courses, eLearning, webinars and conferences run in parallel — often hundreds of courses a year with thousands of sign-ups. Participant administration must work at volume, not just for individual courses.

forward_to_inbox

Marketing is audience precision, not spam

The right course to the right participant at the right time is the business difference. Generic mass mail harms the brand — course producers need segmented email lists based on subject area, past courses and geography.

HOW ALONLEARN SOLVES IT

Built to sell courses — from catalogue to certificate

A catalogue that converts, sign-up where the employer can be set as the payer, participant lists built for volume, and email marketing to segmented audiences. All in the same course system.

1

Catalogue as a shop window

Searchable course catalogue organised by subject area, format and date. Show price, seats available and content in real time. Can be embedded in your own website via the open API — the participant never feels they leave you.

2

Sign-up with the employer as payer

The participant signs up themselves, picks any add-ons, and specifies the employer as invoice recipient. EHF goes straight to the employer\'s accounting, or card/Vipps for those who pay themselves.

Participant administration at volume

Live participant list with sign-up, payment, completion and certificate on one page. Filter, search, sort and run bulk actions — no Excel export. Templates and copying make the next season take minutes, not hours.

SEGMENTED MARKETING

Email to the right audience — not generic mass mail

The audience function lets you segment the participant list by subject area, geography, purchase history or any attribute. Send the campaign email only to those who\'ve been on project management courses before, or alert early bird only to members in a specific region.

Automated trigger emails — sign-up confirmation, last-seats alert, 7-day reminder, post-course evaluation — send themselves from the templates you\'ve built. Marketing that doesn\'t require someone copying and pasting.

BLENDED LEARNING

Structured course paths give participants more value

When courses are the business, quality and value become the differentiator. Blended learning — where eLearning prepares, webinar deepens and physical gathering closes — gives participants a complete journey that qualifies them for the next, more expensive course in the catalogue. AlonLearn brings the whole path into one structured programme.

school

Self-paced eLearning

The participant takes eLearning modules as introduction or subject preparation — often with an exam to be passed before they're let into the physical day.

videocam

Live webinar

Streaming via Vimeo with chat, Q&A and polls. Great as a subject talk between gatherings, or as a standalone paid product with fewer logistical demands.

apartment

Physical intensive courses

Classroom courses, workshops and hotel gatherings — sign-up, capacity, waitlists and QR attendance are in place. The right price and communication per participant category.

verified

One certificate for the whole path

Shared tracking and one combined certificate when all steps are completed. Structured course paths give the participant more value — and qualify them for the next, more expensive courses in the catalogue.

WHAT A BLENDED COURSE PATH LOOKS LIKE

One path, several formats, one certificate — one price

A certification programme can start with self-paced eLearning the participant must complete before the gathering, continue with a two-day physical intensive, and end with a follow-up webinar two weeks later. All in one learning path with shared sign-up, one invoice, and one certificate when the whole path is finished.

For the course producer that means higher price per participant, higher value in marketing, and structured reports to both participant and employer.

INVOICING AND PRICING

Built for the professional market — where the employer is the payer

A professional course market means the participant is an employee, the employer is the customer, and pricing must differentiate by category and campaign. AlonLearn handles all the usual variants without manual follow-up.

receipt_long

Different payer at checkout

The participant specifies the employer as invoice recipient directly at sign-up. EHF goes straight to the employer\'s accounting, or a regular invoice by email — without manual email chains.

paid

Course fee and add-ons

Course fee with optional add-ons — accommodation, dinner, materials, certification fee. The participant picks at sign-up, everything ends up on one invoice.

price_change

Discounts, early bird and codes

Member/non-member pricing, partner discounts, speakers going free, time-limited early bird, and discount codes for promotions. Rules are set once and applied automatically.

Common questions from course producers

Is AlonLearn a course system, sign-up system, course portal or course platform?
All of them — the terms are used interchangeably in the course industry depending on who asks. AlonLearn serves as course system and course platform for the entire delivery, as sign-up system and course portal for buyers looking for courses, and as participant administration for course managers. You don't need one system for the catalogue, one for sign-up and one for delivery — everything happens in AlonLearn.
Which course producers and course-selling companies use AlonLearn?
Quality Norway sells quality courses across subject areas such as HSE, fire, project management, procurement and construction/property — with physical courses, eLearning, webinars, conferences and certification programmes. KGK Academy uses AlonLearn for courses and eLearning aimed at its network. Both are commercial course producers that make a living from course sales.
Can the participant specify that the employer should pay in the same checkout?
Yes. At sign-up the participant can choose to pay themselves (Vipps or card) or specify the employer as invoice recipient. The invoice is sent as EHF straight to the employer's accounting system, or as a regular invoice by email. Refunds and credit notes happen in the same flow — without manual email chains or Excel reconciliation.
What does the course catalogue look like for the buyer?
The course catalogue is searchable, filterable by subject area, dates and format (physical, eLearning, webinar, conference), and shows seats available in real time. It can be branded in your visual style, and can also be embedded in your own website via our open API — so the catalogue feels like part of your own course portal.
Can we send targeted emails to different customer groups and subject areas?
Yes. The audience function lets you segment the participant list by subject area, geography, past course type, purchase history or any attribute. Email sends from AlonLearn go straight to the segment, using templates you've built in advance. Automated trigger emails (early bird alerts, last seats, reminders) send themselves.
Which pricing models and discounts are supported?
Course fee, optional add-ons (accommodation, materials, certification), category discounts (member, non-member, partner), time-limited early bird prices, and discount codes for promotions or special customer groups. The rules are set once per course or course template and applied automatically based on the participant's choice.
How is volume handled — hundreds of courses and thousands of sign-ups?
Participant lists in AlonLearn are built for volume. Filter, search, sort and run bulk operations (move participants, send reminders, generate certificates, export to accounting) on selections — without exporting to Excel and importing back. Templates and copying mean the next season of the same course doesn't require building from scratch.
Can we white-label the platform or embed the course catalogue in our own website?
Yes. The platform can be branded in your visual style — logo, colours, typography and certificate templates. The course catalogue can also be embedded in your own website or intranet via AlonLearn's open API, so participants never feel they leave you. Sign-up can happen in AlonLearn or via API to your own flow.
