Every day at Already On
Why we exist
The market is full of large vendors with heavy processes and long timelines. We exist to show that being specialised, quick and skilled is also possible — and at the same time deliver products that actually hold up.
Instead of pre-projects that last for months, we run workshops in Claude Code together with you. There we produce specification, mockups and estimates on the day. It's a far more effective way of working than the traditional study cycles.
We get into the problem, find what matters most, and deliver. No study phases that last for months. You see progress from the first week.
Claude Code and other AI tools let us do the work of a team of 40 — with a team of 10. That means you get more for your money, not that we stop thinking for ourselves.
When you work with us, you know everyone by first name. Nobody disappears into a hierarchy. We take ownership from the first conversation until the product is in production — and beyond.
Our story
Already On isn't a new adventure. We've been delivering course and competence technology to Norwegian organisations for nearly 20 years. Here's the journey so far.
Already On was founded with the ambition of always being ahead. The name means exactly that: always being on. We started with a range of SaaS applications for absence, holiday planning and contract management, and added Dynamics CRM to the platform — making us Norway's first SaaS provider of Dynamics CRM. Later we also built cloud services for course and learning administration, and helped organisations manage hundreds of thousands of participants.
The learning platform grew into the tool large Norwegian organisations relied on. We became the obvious choice for serious course and learning administration, and won big customers like the Norwegian Nurses Organisation and Quality Norway — the latter a professional course provider with 50,000 members and participants.
When the world shut down, we made a clear choice: to go all in on HR technology and tap into the potential of artificial intelligence. We expanded the platform with digital course formats like streaming and eLearning, and won several large public customers during this period — DFØ, the County Governors and HK-dir. We realised that competence needs change continuously, and that organisations need flexible, insight-driven tools to keep up.
Today we build two separate products: AlonLearn — the learning platform that simplifies daily life for thousands of users, and AlonSkills — AI-driven competence mapping that gives organisations insight in real time. Together they help Norwegian organisations learn, develop and grow stronger. We also run Digitaliseringspådden, the podcast where we talk to the most interesting tech profiles in Norway.
Meet the team
The core team in Norway holds product ownership, project management and customer relations. Behind us stands a co-owner who is a product adviser, an accounting team and specialists in other countries that give us the capacity to deliver quickly.

Emilie is a trained industrial designer and puts UX first in everything she touches. She has built AlonLearn from the first sketch to the finished product — driven by a rare feel for how things should actually feel in use.
As a true UX specialist she puts the end user at the centre throughout. It's their daily life, their button presses and their frustrations she designs around — and that's why the product hits the mark.
We're based in the Manager's Residence of Granfos brug from the 1870s — premises with personality and class, recently refurbished. We have both office and studio here, and this is where we meet customers, run workshops and video calls.
